Let your AI make a song

Tell an AI what you want, and it writes the song here for you. Pick one way:

    EasiestPaste a message

    1. Copy this message.
    2. Paste it into your AI, like Claude or ChatGPT. It needs to be able to open web pages.
    3. Answer its few questions about the song you want.
    4. Open the link it gives you.
    Follow the instructions from achenkunju.com/songmaker/aiagent.md

Or connect it as a tool

If your AI app lets you add a custom connector (also called an MCP server), add this address. Nothing to install. Then just ask it for a song.

Using Claude Code? Run this instead:

claude mcp add --transport http songmaker https://achenkunju.com/songmaker/mcp

    SONG MAKER UNLIMITED

This is an unofficial remake of Song Maker from Chrome Music Lab. Song Maker, its design, and the idea behind it were created by the Chrome Music Lab team at Google Creative Lab. All the credit for it goes to them.

This version exists for one reason: to raise the limits. Everything else is meant to look and work the way the original does.

It also has extras, all off unless you turn them on. Multiple instruments (in Settings) layers more instruments, each with its own split, and More drum sounds adds hi-hat, open hat, crash, toms and cowbell. The lock at the top left switches to viewer mode, so a stray tap cannot change your notes.

Play carries on from where you paused, and tapping the timeline above the grid picks the part to play from. Import (top right) brings in songs saved here by link: paste several to join them into one long song, layer them as instruments, or keep them as separate songs.

Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Google. Chrome Music Lab and Song Maker are Google projects. Song Maker's own code was never open sourced, so this was rebuilt from scratch and contains none of it. Instrument sounds here come from the samples credited above or are synthesized (the synth and the drums), so they sound a little different from the original.
